About our Team
Steve knows quite a bit about aches and pains associated with working in today's offices! It's actually a specialty of his since spending eight years in the office interiors industry, focusing on office ergonomics. Steve understands how people work at their desk, how they SHOULD work at their desk, what their common complaints are, and how to address them. Steve has been certified and licensed for Massage Therapy in Massachusetts since 2009 with a primary focus on overall health and wellness, and an interest in Sports Massage. After tearing his ACL in 2011, having surgery to reconstruct it, and subsequently going through physical therapy, Steve gained a renewed interest in Sports Massage. Steve also earned a B.A. in History from UMASS/Amherst. He spent more than a decade in corporate business-to-business sales but never felt as accomplished or rewarded as when he gave his first professional massage.
Licensed Massage Therapist
Rachael is a licensed massage therapist who works with individuals looking to improve their overall well-being through the influential touch of deep tissue and Swedish massage. Rachael believes that massage can change anyone’s outlook on how they can feel in their own bodies. She states, “Some people forget how good they can actually feel. Everyday life takes a toll on the body. Just stress alone is a huge factor and everyone has the potential to benefit from massage both physically and mentally”. She graduated from Salter College in West Boylston with high honors and is certified in deep tissue, Swedish, and hot stone massage. Rachael enjoys horseback riding, nature walks, gardening, and has recently picked up guitar. She also studied studio art at Framingham State University and now enjoys creating in a different way. She says, “Massage is an art form that can change your life”. According to the American Massage Therapy Association, when massaged regularly active individuals can observe improved performance, reduced pain, prevent injury, encourage focus and shorten recovery time. Rachael is currently attending QCC to broaden her horizons in the health industry. She continues to seek new and exciting opportunities to build on her knowledge and talents. She states, “I am so excited to work at Worcester Fitness! I’m looking forward to meeting many new people and I can’t wait to show them what I can do!”
Wanting to help people in a tangible way, Peter changed careers, deciding on the hands-on approach to the healing of massage therapy. Peter graduated from Salter College’s Massage Therapy in 2010, leaving a 20-year long stay in the supermarket world behind. Working steadily since graduating, Peter has found he has an intuitive way of finding and loosening problem muscles. He specializes in deep tissue massage, especially on tough ongoing issues like chronic low back pain and has continued working on improving techniques to give his clients the best possible outcome he can. Peter lives a vegan lifestyle, plays music (ukulele and banjo) loves photography, has two pugs, two adult kids, three turtles, and a longtime partner. He likes to spend as much time outside and hiking as possible with at least a portion of that list. He loves every season here in New England and has snowshoes to prove it. Peter practices mindfulness and is always trying to leave the world better than he found it.
