Worcester Fitness’s Kevin Meleshuk and Brittany Palumbo Take On the Killington Spartan Beast
We’re proud of Worcester Fitness Personal Trainer Kevin Meleshuk and Member Services Representative Brittany Palumbo for taking on the Spartan Beast at Killington, Vermont, on September 19. We know both of them as people who encourage others in our club. This weekend, they stepped up to a challenge of their own.
What Is the Killington Spartan Beast?
The Beast is Spartan’s 21K obstacle course race, advertised with 30 obstacles. At Killington, the distance is only part of the story. Racers face steep mountain climbs, demanding descents, uneven terrain, and obstacles that test strength and coordination along the way. The course is known for its “Death March,” a long, punishing uphill section.
For Kevin and Brittany, competing meant preparing to keep moving through all of it. We’re proud of the work it took to get to the start line and of their willingness to take on one of Spartan’s most challenging venues.
Thinking About a Race of Your Own? Talk With Kevin.
You don’t have to be planning a Beast to benefit from training with a goal in mind. Maybe you want to run your first 5K, feel stronger on the trails, prepare for an obstacle race, or build the confidence to try something new.
Kevin is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and an RRCA Certified Running Coach with more than 10 years of coaching experience. His work includes strength training, functional fitness, running, and endurance coaching. He can help you make a plan that fits your starting point and the event you want to tackle.
Next time you see Kevin or Brittany at Worcester Fitness, give them a shout-out. And if their Killington challenge has you thinking about your own, learn more about personal training with Kevin or ask for him at the welcome desk.
