Metcon Coach
Position Summary:
Our coaches are the key to elevating the workout experience! They are full of energy, are motivating, and have a vision for fitness! They have the expertise and knowledge to coach members through a successful powerlifting class. This position understands that the relationships built with members/clients are critical. Performance Responsibilities
- Arrive 10 minutes before shift (class, appointment)
- Provide proper demonstration of all exercises and proper cueing during sessions.
- Provide motivating and safe workouts.
- Provide excellent customer service for all members and potential members.
- Clean and maintain all equipment and facilities after shift
- Immediately report any damaged equipment or facilities to Member Services or Manager on Duty
- Exhibit good listening skills when dealing with concerns of clients/members
- Enforce club rules regarding gym usage
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies
Requirements
• National accredited group fitness certification, Olympic lift experience preferred
• CPR/AED Certified
• Efficient, well organized, and able to communicate.
• Effective leadership skills and strong work ethic.
• 1-3 years minimum experience in the fitness industry.
• Ability to meet attendance schedules with dependability and consistency.
• 1 Saturday shift per month
Work Conditions
• Able to spend a majority of time standing, lifting, walking during shift
• Able to operate and or lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Must be able to fully demonstrate all exercise and equipment. This includes moving in all directions, both sitting and standing.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients, member services staff, and supervisors

Compensation
• Starting pay rate for group exercise coach/instructor: $25/hr
