About Daniella

Daniella fell in love with yoga over a decade ago, shortly after a torn meniscus turned out to be irreparable and she was forced to give up competitive soccer and running. Yoga became a ritual of calm throughout graduate school, while she finished a PhD on performance in Latin America.

    When she became pregnant with her now three-year-old son, Daniella’s daily yoga practice became even more important, and she began to educate herself as much as she could on how to modify a yoga practice for pregnancy. That got her through straight up until the day she went into labor, and gave her tools that helped in the smooth and quick delivery of her son.

    After completing a vinyasa teacher training with a focus on Iyengar-style alignment and finding so many pregnant students appearing as regulars in her classes, Daniella decided to deepen her study of prenatal yoga by undertaking a Yoga for Two training with Mary Barnes in New York City. She has since taught prenatal yoga in both group and private settings.

    Daniella is currently pregnant with her second child, who is due towards the end of August.

25-Hour Prenatal Teacher Training

Yoga for Two Prenatal Training with Mary Barnes. Explored Anusara Yoga’s Universal Principles of Alignment; anatomy, contraindications, and modifications for pregnancy as well as yoga therapeutics to alleviate discomfort; breathing and meditation tools for childbirth; and sequencing.

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training-RYT

Vinyasa teacher training lead by Kay Kay Clivio and Yogi Charu, with Iyengar-style alignment taught by Adam Vitolo, and three-day anatomy module taught by Yoga Tune-Up.
